Network/Systems Administrator

GEOKON, INCORPORATED, The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology®, is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.

We are currently seeking a DETAILED ORIENTED, TEAM PLAYER to lead our Information Technology (IT) team as the Network/Systems Administrator. The applicant must be a self-starter with excellent problem solving abilities, communication and organizational skills. In addition, the applicant must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently or in a team environment. A Computer Science or Technology Degree (or equivalent work experience) with at least 5+ years of IT experience is required.

The successful candidate will have proven knowledge of, and skills with:

• Windows® OS Systems: Desktop and Server
• LAN Networking: Switches, Routers and related infrastructure
• VPN management
• Microsoft® SharePoint®
• Database administration (MS SQL, Access®)
• Virtualization

The successful candidate will have experience with:

• ERP and Financial software packages
• SAP® Crystal Reports®
• Visual Studio®

Other:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships, both written and oral, with co-workers, vendors, and others inside and outside the IT department
• Ability to evaluate and organize the IT department’s operations and policies, including planning for future requirements
• Previous experience working in an engineering/manufacturing setting
