Electronics Design Engineer

Geokon, Inc., The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology™, located in Lebanon, NH, is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world, is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer. This opportunity is located near Dartmouth College, and resides within the scenic Upper Valley region of New Hampshire, which offers a wide-range of year-round recreational and cultural opportunities.

The Electronics Design Engineer will be engaged in hardware and C/C++ based firmware development for products used in the Geotechnical Industry.
The successful candidate will have:

  • A familiarity with micro controller based circuits and memory interface circuits; experience with Texas Instruments and Microchip Technology devices preferable
  • A working knowledge of analog and digital electronics
  • A demonstrated proficiency with an electronics design software package such as Altium Designer for schematic and layout generation
  • Experience and proficiency with:
    • Complete product development - from concept to production.
    • Hardware breadboarding
    • Hardware and firmware troubleshooting
    • Technical documentation generation

Exceptional problem solving abilities in addition to excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary. A Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, with at least 5 years experience, is required.
