Model 8020-59 Back in Production

Geokon is pleased to announce that production has resumed for the Model 8020-59 VW Frequency to Analog Converter. The Model 8020-59 has been redesigned to provide superior gage excitation and the ability to be powered from either a 12 V or 24 V power supply.

The Model 8020-59 is a non-isolated 4-20 mA loop generator, and does not require that the 4-20 mA current loop be isolated from system ground, thus simplifying system design and implementation. However, should isolated 4-20 mA loop types be preferred or required, the Model 8020-59 can be easily converted by interfacing it with an inexpensive loop isolator, such as the DSCL24-01 from Dataforth Corp. Consequently, the Model 8020-54 (isolated 4-20 mA loop generator type, with 2 separate and isolated power systems) has been discontinued.

All commands and functions of the Model 8020-59 may be accessed via HyperTerminal or ProComm® communications software.
