Single Channel Datalogger

Model 8002 (LC-2)

Geokon is pleased to announce the release of its new Model 8002 (LC-2) Single Channel Datalogger.

The LC-2 builds on the success of Geokon’s reputation for rugged and reliable dataloggers. It retains the functionality of its predecessor, the LC-1, but has new and improved features including USB connectivity and an increased memory (16,000 readings vs. 8,000 readings).

Other improvements include:

  • Direct, hard-wired, sensor cable connections to the internal terminal strip (10-pin connectors are no longer required).
  • An on-board RS-485 interface (with software controlled settings) for networking applications.
  • Non-volatile memory (a lithium backup battery is not required).
  • A more accurate clock, (±2 minutes a year).
  • The ability to be powered from an external 12 V battery.
  • An Automatic Gain Control to maximize the strength of the received Vibrating Wire signal.
  • Active analog filtering tuned to specific gage types.
  • A reading command which allows the user to take and display a reading without storing it in memory, whether logging is in process or not.

Additional enhancements, planned for inclusion in models to be produced later this year, include:

  • A 4-channel version.
  • The ability to control remote multiplexers, allowing the connection of multiple sensors.
