VDV Data Visualization Software

Geokon Inc. recently signed a Reseller Agreement with Vista Engineering of Reykjavik, Iceland, for the supply of the Vista Data Vision suite of data visualization software. The VDV software package contains powerful tools to organize and display data stored in Micro-10, Micro-1000 and Micro-800 Data Acquisition Systems. The software comprises 3 products which, when combined, provide a complete data management package for data storage, data browsing & reporting and for publishing data to the Worldwide Web.

Data Storage

Data stored in Geokon’s Micro-10, Micro-1000 and Micro-800 Dataloggers is automatically imported into the db.robot.c database where it is available for rapid calculation and formatting for display and analysis. Tool kits allow the user to add features such as alarms and data validation.

Data Browsing & Reporting

Once in the database, data can be accessed using the db.data.browser, which allows users to view and display data from multiple sensors in graphical format. Functions are included to manipulate and convert data and to provide for automated reports.

Publishing to the Web

The db.web.browser is a database web browser which allows the user to publish much of the work undertaken in db.data.browser. It includes everything needed to start web service, create Web Maps and allows service providers to customize control over data access.

Versions

The VDV software package is available in 3 versions; a Base (entry level) version, a Standard version and a Professional Version (for advanced users and Service providers). All versions are supported by an extensive, on-screen Help Menu.
