Geotechnical Instrumentation For Field Measurements

Field measurements course provides participants with a systematic risk-driven method for planning a monitoring program, including many practical cases.

The course will emphasize instrumentation for monitoring performance during construction and operation rather than instrumentation to determine in situ parameters. It includes technical presentations by major manufacturers of geotechnical instrumentation in the USA and Europe in addition to presentations by international users.

Topics include:

• overview of state-of-the-art and innovative instruments
• up-to-date methods for automatic acquisition of data
• aspect of tunnel and dam monitoring
• high requirements for instrumentation offshore
• systematic planning of risk-driven monitoring programs
• geotechnical baseline reporting
