Stuart Crocker

Following a 20-year career in Machining and Production Management, Stu joined Geokon in 2001, taking a position in our machine shop. In 2002 he became Production Manager where he is responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising all aspects of Geokon’s manufacturing. The position requires a high degree of vigilance and vision to maintain the balance between our customer’s needs and the resources available to meet them. Stu has overseen the successful implementation of a sales and materials planning software system and a significant increase in production over the past 5 years.

Stu’s awareness of the manufacturing picture at any given time allows Geokon to respond quickly to customer requests and meet their needs on a timely basis. As for an operating philosophy, Stu says, “I like Barrie’s (Geokon President Barrie Sellers) management approach of trusting people to do a good job, then letting them do it, rather than micro-managing. That’s what I try to do too.”

Away from Geokon, Stu enjoys his home life with his wife, 3 children and various pets in a small Vermont town about 25 miles (40 km) from Lebanon. Though he claims to be a devout Boston Red Sox fan, there are skeptics at Geokon who suggest he is supporting the team only because of their recent successes!

Stu is a key member of the Geokon team and we are fortunate to have him with us.
