Cable Room

GEOKON is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.

We are currently seeking a Cable Room Assembler who, at the direction of the Assembly Supervisor, is responsible for daily warehouse functions in the department including picking, cutting, spooling and packing cable. This is a full-time position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Work with various cable machines
• Load and set-up cable machines
• Cut cables and labels per customer specifications
• Operate fork lift
• Cable Preparation including stripping, tinning and labeling
• Maintain basic department-specific instructions
• Assist with maintaining equipment and a clean and safe working environment
• Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of assembly experience preferred

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and standard accepted practices
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
• Ability to work well with other employees and a willingness to switch tasks frequently when required
• Ability to maintain equipment and a clean work environment
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
