Graphic Designer

GEOKON, The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology (est. 1979), is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer who will provide effective designs and layouts of marketing/sales collateral (utilizing corporate templates and/or design standards) in digital and print formats that resonate with target audiences. This position will provide support for all aspects relating to the creative process for new product launches, campaigns, promotions, sales programs and corporate sales tools. This is a full time position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop effective marketing collateral and materials utilizing corporate templates and design standards. Tasks to include (but not limited to) advertising, posters, newsletters, catalogs and other sales tools. (Tasks include: design creation, layout, file preparation, liaising with external resources)
• Conduct product photography (and photo editing) of new instrumentation, including custom instruments
• Create line drawings in support of manuals, manual revisions and datasheets
• Design and layout support for electronic based marketing/sales mediums
• Support engineering teams in the development of labels and overlays
• Provide graphic support for corporate related materials (business cards, stationery)
• Provide proof reading assistance as assigned (case studies, advertising, etc.)
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
• 1-3 years’ experience
• Experience in: (Required software) Adobe® Creative Cloud®: Photoshop®, InDesign®, Illustrator®, Acrobat® Pro DC, Dreamweaver®. (Helpful) Adobe Premiere® Pro and/or other video editing software, Adobe FrameMaker®

Other Requirements:

• Familiarity with MS Office: Microsoft® Word™, Excel®, and Outlook® software
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Studio photography experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effective communicate with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High attention to detail a must
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
