The Model 6180 enables continuous, long-term monitoring of lateral deformations, lateral ground movements and stability in, around and above various Civil Engineering structures and projects.
With the Model 6180, GEOKON has redesigned the vertical in-place inclinometer to reduce overall system weight and to simplify the process of system installation.
Our new, innovative design comprises MEMS tilt sensors in a sealed stainless steel housing, waterproof cable connectors and in-line, quick-release ball joints to provide an easier, and faster, toolless assembly process.
Sensor are available in 7 standard lengths and custom sizing is available on request. Spring-loaded wheel assemblies allow the sensor string to positively engage in the grooves of conventional, standard inclinometer casing.
Automated monitoring is possible using the GEOKON Model 8900 GeoNet Wireless Data Hosting System, or any other device capable of being a Modbus® RTU client and having an RS-485 port. The Model 8020-38 Addressable Bus Converter provides the means to interface GEOKON Addressable Sensor Strings with a variety of systems, including personal computers, programmable logic controllers and dataloggers.
The ease of assembly provides a considerable savings of time and labor and the overall weight reduction of the Model 6180 helps to further reduce costs, especially where numerous sensor string are required.
GEOKON, founded in 1979, is a recognized world leader in the manufacture of geotechnical and structural instrumentation. Our sensors provide excellent long-term stability and proven reliability for protracted measurements in adverse environments. GEOKON has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 registration from both ANSI•ANAB, USA and UKAS of Great Britain.
GEOKON products are supported by an experienced team of factory-trained associates ready to assist with instrument design, selection and installation. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service to meet the needs of our clients.
