  • Electronics Technician

    GEOKON, The World Leader in Vibrating Wire Technology, is a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation used in civil, mining and structural engineering projects throughout the world.

    We are currently seeking a Electronics Technician who at the direction of the Electronics Assembly Supervisor, will assemble electronic instrumentation, dataloggers, subassemblies and Type C product according to standard practices and procedures. This is a full time position.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    • Products Assembly:
    • Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning and labeling
    • Electronics and Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools
    • Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other components
    • Solder and assemble various components to PCB boards
    • Perform online testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards
    • Setup and use electronic test equipment to record, compile and evaluate data
    • Assemble, test and troubleshoot Type C product, X jobs
    • Assist in other functional areas such as mechanical assembly, quality control and technical services as required
    • Help maintain equipment and a clean work environment

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Associates Degree from a two-year college, or equivalent combination of education and experience

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be familiar with manufacturing processes, use of electronic test equipment, analyze mechanical prints and tolerances, sketching, layout an drafting work
    • Proficiency with Windows® based PC and Microsoft® Office software
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
    • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
    • Ability to work well with other employees and a willingness to switch tasks frequently when required
    • Soldering experience is required
    • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
    • Perform other related duties as assigned
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
