Continuing Education Course

  • Registrants at the 2017 course in Rome.

    Fifth International Course on Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring

    May 22-24, 2018 | Rome, Italy

    During the last four years more than 450 people have come from 50 countries to attend the course in Italy, and 42 international companies have exhibited their products. In 2018 there will again be sessions on “New Monitoring Trends” and “Case Histories and Lessons Learned”, with presentations given by course registrants.

    In addition, there will be six “Master Classes” on May 21, the day before the beginning of the main course, covering installation, data acquisition, data processing, tricks and tips from everyday experience. The six topics will be: piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, total stations, vibration monitoring and terrestrial radar. On the day after the course there will be a field trip to monitoring systems at the Roman Forum of Rome.

    The course is intended for project managers and other decision-makers who are concerned with management of RISK during construction, geotechnical and structural engineers, end users, consultants, service providers, manufacturers and researchers.
